The Studio Edge Recording Program

Jim Pavett created a program that will teach you the fundamentals of sound engineering so you can be a skillful engineer no matter what equipment you are using. Unlike other recording schools in which hundreds of students fight for lab time, the Studio Edge Recording Program is 100% one-on-one, hands-on instruction in a professional recording studio. You learn the theory and then apply it, resulting in a higher understanding and retention of the information.

Other areas of the program take you beyond basic software into the real world of recording techniques applied on diverse software and discrete systems. Learn what a software manual doesn't teach you.

In addition, you will record, edit, and mix multiple projects throughout the program. You will learn the techniques to make informed decisions about what equipment is compatible to do the job you need to get done. In other words, this program is designed to be used for real world applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What benefits does this Recording Program have over other programs?

We focus on teaching you knowledge which is cutting-edge. With the knowledge and mastery of our curriculum you will excel in any recording industry job. We focus on the knowledge, and knowledge is power. What you do with it is up to you.

Other schools boast having expensive gear. Learning an SSL mixer does nothing for 99.9% of all students. You can download a user manual to learn how to do that. Our goal is for you to have the ability to get behind any piece of gear and know how to use it effectively.
