Education

Welcome to the Pure Wave Recording Program

Jim Pavett created a program that will teach you the fundamentals of sound engineering so you can be a skillful engineer no matter what equipment you are using. Unlike other recording schools in which hundreds of students fight for lab time, the Pure Wave Recording Program training is 100% hands-on instruction in a real Control Room. You learn the theory and then apply it, resulting in a higher understanding and retention of the information.

Other areas of the Recording Program take you beyond basic software into the real world of recording techniques applied on diverse software and discrete systems. Learn what a software manual doesn't teach you.

In addition, you will record, edit, and mix multiple projects on different systems throughout the program. You will learn the techniques to make informed decisions about what equipment is compatible to do the job you need to get done. In other words, this program is designed to be used for real world applications.
