Different Recording Methods – Working With Alisha Peru

Allusion Studios has been bringing Alisha Peru’s original numbers to life with a stable of studio musicians from the time she was fifteen years old. Recently she returned with her own musicians to record the band’s latest EP. The recording process was different this time around – band members had worked in advance on carefully-written parts and did much of the tracking live before moving on to overdubs. Allusion Studios has a number of isolated rooms for flexibility in recording, eliminating phase issues and bleed between sound sources. “It’s fun to see an artist expand and utilize the studio in different ways. When I built this place, I spent a lot of time brainstorming situations to make sure that the building was suited for different recording methods and we had the signal flow capabilities,” said owner Jim Pavett.
